Modi & Bollywood: Why do these Bollywood actors hate Modi

Actors that don't like Modi

With the BJP coming in power in 2014 and Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister, the status quo changed. This threw a lot many celebs out of their comfort zone. Several of them openly expressed their disregard for the present regimen or have criticized them on more than one occasion. Here are some of them:

Director-singer-actor Farhan Akhtar has opposed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government, and its leaders on multiple occasions. He was also one of the major voices from Bollywood that had spoken against the Citizenship Amendment Act and had participated in an anti-CAA rally held in Mumbai. Unfortunately, when the journalist quizzed him on the CAA, he revealed he didn’t even know the first thing about the CAA.

Swara Bhaskar:

The supporting actress is an ardent supporter of the JNU and has been vocal about her opposition to the BJP government. She had campaigned for AAP’s Atishi and Kanhaiya Kumar in Bihar as their ideology of communism aligns with her own political beliefs. Swara has been a strong critic of the CAA and NRC also. However, it was revealed in her interaction with a journalist that she was clueless on the number of seats at the Parliament.
