Rhea Chakraborty will soon be seen in Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming movie, Chehre. Though the film revolves around the characters played by Big B and Hashmi, Rhea secured a role in the film through director Rumi Jaffery who was also Sushant Sing Rajput’s friend.
There were strong speculations that Rhea’s role would be chopped off from the movie owing to her getting embroiled into the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The extensive media trial and social media uproar has certainly affected the Jalebi actress’s reputation. After a string of unsuccessful films, Rhea Chakraborty never saw absolute popularity with the average movie-goers. The ongoing trial, the CBI probe, and surfacing of alleged links with the drugs cartel have also created a huge dent in her image. Hence, it was a safe guess that Rhea will be dropped off from Chehre and her scenes will be skipped.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has maintained silence in the matter from the beginning. Though social media personality Payal Rohatgi had posted videos on YouTube mocking Big B and his silence, the seasoned actor has maintained his composure and did not make any remarks on the alleged murder of Sushant Singh Rajput, co-actor Rhea Chakraborty’s involvement in the case, her presence or a potential absence from the movie, Chehre.
However, director Rumi Jafferry has clear the air around such possibilities. He clarified that Rhea’s scenes will not be eliminated and she will continue to be a part of Chehre. “Rhea cannot and won’t be pushed out of the entertainment industry. I know many filmmakers won’t even consider her for their films. But she is a strong resilient girl. She won’t turn the other cheek. She will make sure she gets justice,” said the director.
In July 2019, Rhea Chakraborty had taken to her social media handle to reveal her first look from the movie. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, Chehre also features Annu Kapoor, Anand Pandit, and Kriti Kharbanda.
