India is probably the oldest civilization in the world but has successfully retained it’s identity and it’s sanatan dharma, while most of the other ancient civilizations have lost their civilizational identity. With that end in mind, the powers that be, outside India have been constantly making attempts to totally annihilate and whitewash India’s Sanatani identity, using the enemies within our country as their foot soldiers. And what better foot soldiers can they have other than the Leftists?
The state of West Bengal has been one of the first to fall into the Leftist labyrinth, which caused the Bengali populace, specifically the urban elites, clothed with the robe of progressive-liberal elitism and pseudo-secularism, to shun anything remotely connected with Hinduism. Even the pujas which are performed there are being given a secularist touch – and this trend is on the upswing with each passing day.
Saraswati Puja , the Puja of the Hindu goddess of learning, Maa Saraswati, is another Hindu festival, which is celebrated in each and every hindu household of Bengal as well as in educational institutions and neighbourhoods. The festival is celebrated at the advent of spring, on the day of Vasant Panchami. Saraswati Puja is extremely popular amongst the youth of Bengal as the students seek the blessings of Maa Saraswati to fair well in their upcoming exams, which are generally held in India, right after the festival.
There seems to be an unwritten custom that, on this day, girls of all ages – from toddlers to the young ladies in their twenties, deck up saris and jewellery, making them look much more beautiful in all their Indianness. The young men also prefer ethnic wear on this day, like, Dhoti and Kurta or Pyjama and Kurta. The bright and lively color of yellow rules the mood.
We are not aware that since when the day of Saraswati Puja was coined as ‘Bengal’s Valentines Day’ by the Darbari media in Bengal. The liberal cabal has created a perception that all the decking up by the youth of Bengal on this day is done merely with the intent of finding and attracting partners, even when the actual intention of such decking up is primarily in keeping with the spirit of the Puja.
This dilution is a clever leftist ploy to whitewash the spirit of a pure and perfect hindu festival, performed with devotion by one and all, into a mere mate-finding day of the year. The piety is thus converted into vulgarirty by them, even when Saraswati Puja has been stopped in certain areas of rural Bengal, from the communist era itself simply because it offends a particular community, who are in a majority in those areas.
The heart-wrenching visuals of little girls from a govt-run school at Haroa, Basirhat, West Bengal, standing infront of their school gate, clutching the murty of Maa Saraswati, in protest against the refusal of the school authorities to allow them to perform the Puja within the school premises, is still ripe in one’s mind. The sinister plan is at place – stopping the puja where you can and in other places, brainwash the gullible youth into believing that this Puja is not about respect to your Sanatan Dharma but it’s only a decking up day to attract partners.
It is high time for the Sanatani community to put their foot down and state that ‘No, Saraswati Puja is the day when we pray to our Goddess of Learning, Maa Saraswati for lknowledge and wisdom. It is NOT our Valentine’s Day under any circumstance’. The onus is on the guardians and parents to impart the right kind of knowledge to their wards so that they can free of this bug of pseudo secularism, unleashed on them by the Leftists to whitewash their own culture and their ethnic identity, as they have done with the other races and communities, almost as old as India is.
